My story starts many moons ago.
Throughout my life, I have had my career take me in different directions. I started out as an actress, then moved to Holland (and stayed for almost 9 years!). I taught myself the language and obtained a teaching degree, which I used upon my return to Canada in 2007.
Art was always something I did for fun and relaxation in my youth and teenage years, but for many years it remained hidden. And I always had a passion for decor - I can honestly say I used to change my room around at least once a month as a child. :)
A few years ago, I was rear-ended while I was stopped at a red-light. I endured years of chronic pain and anxiety. To help pass the time, I began drawing. The drawings turned into requests, and so forth, and so I opened my Etsy shop in 2015. It has been a wonderful form of therapy for me, and I am SO grateful for all of my WONDERFUL customers who have helped make my shop what it is today.
While I primarily began selling archival prints, due to my injury, I am now offering more printables - but archival prints are still an option. What I also love is that you can purchase amazing art without the commitment of spending hundreds of dollars on pieces you may tire of easily (remember my room changing story above?! :) Perhaps you can relate!
It has been such a fabulous journey so far. I have been inspired every day by family, friends and customers.
Thank you so much for reading my story. And thank you for checking out Little Lief Creative.
